M. Night Shyamalan is an American filmmaker, screenwriter, and producer who is known for his suspenseful and supernatural films. He was born on August 6, 1970, in Mahé, Pondicherry, India, but grew up in Pennsylvania, USA.
Shyamalan gained widespread recognition with his third film, “The Sixth Sense” (1999), which was a critical and commercial success, and earned him Academy Award nominations for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay. He has since directed and produced a number of other successful films, including “Unbreakable” (2000), “Signs” (2002), “The Village” (2004), “Split” (2016), and “Glass” (2019). Shyamalan’s films often have surprise endings and feature themes of spirituality and the supernatural.
