Big Zulu Discharged After Surviving Serious Car Accident
Popular South African musician Siyabonga Nene, known as Big Zulu, has been discharged from the hospital after surviving a near-fatal car accident. The crash happened on Sunday, 26 January, in Germiston, Gauteng, when his BMW 325i convertible veered off the road into the bushes. He was quickly taken to Alberton Netcare Hospital for treatment.
News of the accident broke on Monday, 27 January, when his record label, Inkabi Records, posted on Facebook asking fans to pray for him. “Nkabi Nation, it’s sad to announce that Big Zulu was involved in a car accident last night. Please keep him in your prayers,” the post read.
After his recovery, Big Zulu addressed rumors that he used supernatural powers to survive. Some people claimed, “Zulu has a snake,” while others predicted, “Zulu is going to die.” The rapper dismissed the claims, saying his survival was by God’s grace.
Fans and fellow musicians have since flooded social media with well-wishes, celebrating his recovery. Big Zulu thanked his supporters and promised to return to making music soon. Despite the shocking accident, the artist remains strong and determined to continue his career.
