Yo Maps Laughs Off Affair Allegation in Court

Zambian musician Yo Maps, real name Elton Mulenga, told the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court that social media blogger Elias Musyani’s Facebook posts about his wife, Kidist Kifle, affected him.

During the hearing, defence lawyer Douglas Njolomba asked Yo Maps if he knew about an alleged affair between Kidist and Musyani. The singer laughed, calling the claim a joke.

The court also heard a phone recording where Musyani taunted Yo Maps, asking him to speak English. Musyani faces two counts of electronic harassment under the Cyber Security and Cyber Crimes Act of Zambia.

The case relates to posts made between April 8, 2024, and April. The trial continues.
